Self Evaluation-June

Im in charge to think the story,film the horror movie,editing and part of the soundtrack in the group.There have few things that we should improve.Firstly,the planning of the story.This is our second story because the previous one was not possible to film which waste us a lot of time to do the planning sheet.Therefore,we should be more careful to think how you going to film the story.

And when we finish planning the story we start to film.After filming,I use 180 degree rule.And eye level,high angle and low angle.Then,i used the close up mid shot and long shot.But I think there have not enough shot type and angles.Moreover the pan wasn't smooth enough.Then,editing was very smooth and nature.We did put some effect like making thing move faster and it brings fear.

The Soundtrack

This is the soundtrack of the beginning of the horror movie. It's original which is create by myself using the whistle to bring fear to the audience.Also put it in the beginning make the horror film start more nature and show the production logo.

Make up of the ghost

The photos above shows the make up of the ghost,we considered to use a pale face with red lips.The pale was everywhere in the actress such as hands,legs.Also,we put some baby oil to make the hair look more nasty.It's because the smooth hair was not scary.

Final Film

This is our final film,the story are base on the two couple in the house. At the beginning,Elaine(Girlfriend) was planning to have shower,when she walked in the bathroom she found out her boyfriend(Leo) didn't turn the tap off. Elaine was very angry and went out to argue with Leo. But Leo said he didn't use it,Elaine though he's lying. Elaine walked into the bathroom again and she saw the tap was open again. Scared by the tap,she looked around the bathroom. Meanwhile,the ghost appear and killed Elaine by drown . After Elaine was being killed,the ghost start to kill Leo. The ghost lay on the bed and Leo though the ghost was her girlfriend,therefore he try to stroke her hand and apologise. But then,the ghost disappear and Leo found out her girlfriend was being killed in the bathroom. When he looked above,he saw the ghost. Finally,he shout which mean he is going to be the next one. - YOU NEVER KNOW

self evaluation of our initial film

we have shot our initial film before half-term,and we decided not to accept it.
here are some problems we found to be disappointing--
1. although we had make up for the actress, she didn't seem old enough to be a little boy's mother. not to mention that the actor who we planed to play the little boy's role was another teenage boy.
2. when editing, we found that the image isn't as clear as we thought to be. so we decided to make sure that the camera is well focused before shooting.
3. there are couple of mistakes we made in the clips, such as--shoot in front of a mirror so that you can see the camera in the film; to shoot a foot in the image when it ought not to be there
due to all of these reason above, we decided to change our story and shoot again.

in this oldest logo( July 22, 1914-1919): We see a circle with "UNIVERSAL" written above and "FILMS" written below. Inside the circle is some really small text that says "TRADE MARK". A Saturn-like ring surrounds the circle, which reads "THE TRANS-ATLANTIC FILM CO. LTD." (Universal's British distributor at the time).
it only has black&white on it, for at that time they can only product black and white films. also they are silent films so there wasn't any sound effect ass to it. as we can see, it is composed right in the middle of the frame.

1930's logo (clip):from this logo, we can still observe similarities to the older one--the global, the company name, but with a motion, with a little plane flying around it.

in this logo, witch is shown in universal's 75th anniversary ,we can see they add the classic scene from E.T( witch is made in 1982 and really shocked the world)  to the original one. by now, the textural part used to surrounding the global  that suggesting their company name has been replaced by the black paper-cut like picture. and  there is a clear title relating to the film ET.
